LNG Operator Skills Framework public consultation now closed

The RITC is proud to be the project lead for the LNG Operator Skills Framework, launched in 2018 as part of the State Government LNG Taskforce. The taskforce aimed to make Perth a major global hub for the oil and gas industry, and the RITC have been collaborating with industry and Government to address skills gaps and support jobs for LNG Process Plant Operators.

Currently, 15 units of competency and 7 occupational specialisations have been developed which specifically link nationally recognised qualification streams to job roles in the industry. Round of one for public consultation for these units and specialisations has now closed. It is expected endorsement of the new units and qualification streams will occur late in 2020.
