Case for Endorsement – Review of Off-the Road (OTR) Tyres project

August 1, 2018

This case for endorsement has resulted from cross-sector consultation and training product development involving the Automotive Heavy Vehicle Industry Reference Committee (IRC), the Coal Mining IRC and the Metalliferous Mining IRC.

The resulting 7 units in the Automotive Retail, Service and Repair (AUR) Training Package preserves the cross-sector nature of the units of competency relating to working with off-the-road tyres.

Importantly, critical units in this case for endorsement relating to removing, inspecting and fitting earthmoving and off-the-road tyres and wheel/rim assemblies can only be amended with the approval from the abovementioned three IRCs.
