Changes to PMB Plastics, Rubber and Cablemaking Training Package

November 1, 2017

IBSA Manufacturing has announced it will be undertaking a review of the Plastics, Rubber and Cablemaking (PMB) Training Package.  Feedback received by IBSA suggests the current PMB training package qualifications are too broad, without industry specific skills and containing redundant electives. The review will focus on the following qualifications and associated 178 units of competency:

  • PMB20116 Certificate II in Polymer Processing

  • PMB30116 Certificate III in Polymer Processing

  • PMB40116 Certificate IV in Polymer Technology

  • PMB50116 Diploma of Polymer Technology

  • PMB60116 Advanced Diploma of Polymer Technology.

The case for change which underpins the review can be found here.
