WA Jobs, Skills, Education and Training Survey

Project Owner: DTWD
Current Status: Reporting portal closed March 25, 2022.

The WA Jobs, Education and Training (WAJET) survey is a key research undertaking by the Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) which utilises labour market analysis and consultation with key stakeholders, including the RITC, to help guide and inform the activities of the Department.

For instance, the 2021 WAJET survey responses informed:

  • The State Training Plan (developed by the State Training Board (STB))
  • Training prioritisation and funding decisions
  • WA Skilled Migration Occupation Lists
  • DTWD workforce projects and skill set proposals

The WAJET survey research is to be repeated annually, and the Resources Industry Training Council will be drawn on for consultation in the 2022 iteration.
