Workforce Priorities

 

The Resources Industry Training Council (RITC) produces 6-monthly updates on identified workforce priorities for the professional, scientific and testing service industries. The updates examine issues, strategies and actions identified by industry, to guide the development of a skilled workforce to meet the needs of Western Australia.

 

One of the Service Agreement deliverables, between the Resources Industry Training Council (RITC) and the Western Australian State Training Board, is to; Provide industry intelligence and data on workforce and occupational priorities to inform the:

 

 

The RITC engages with the professional, scientific and testing service industries to provide workforce data and occupational priorities, to the Western Australia State Training Board and Department of Training and Workforce Development, informing the State Training Plan and State Priority Occupations List.

The Resource Industry Training Council (RITC) is a state government funded joint venture between Chamber of Minerals and Energy (CME) and the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association Ltd (APPEA), gathering industry intelligence, on current trends, skills gaps and training needs, which it provides to industry, the State Training Board (STB), Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD), the WA Government. RITC governance is facilitated through the RITC Advisory Board.
