RITC’s Trip to the Pilbara

December 20, 2022

In late November, Amanda and Karleigh from the RITC joined the Chamber of Minerals and Energy North West Regional Officer Megan Brouwer in the Pilbara.
Karleigh and Amanda flew into Port Hedland at 7am (After a 5.30am flight!) where we met with the Pilbara Ports Authority, Hedland Maritime Initiative, Hedland Senior High School, BHP and North Regional TAFE (Port Hedland Campus).

The visit to these regional towns provided us with further insight into supply and demand issues, skill, education and training needs in addition to some of the challenges these areas face.
Thank you to industry, government and others companies who took the time meet with us.
