Hydrogen Awareness Training

October 17, 2022

In Collaboration with the Resources Industry Training Council (RITC), Integrated Energy facilitated Hydrogen Awareness Training.

The introductory training course was held on 5th October 2022 specific for training and development specialists, government policy developers, union representatives, course program directors, career advisors and industry participants with no or little knowledge of hydrogen technologies, opportunities, and workforce implications. Additionally, it referenced to safe and efficient decision and operation of hydrogen plants, infrastructure and applicable national and international codes and standards for Hydrogen technologies, business, and workforce implications.

The half day course was facilitated by David Cavanagh (Managing Director of Integrated Energy) and Monica Deoghare, Principal Technology Consultant of Integrated Energy.

Additionally, the course provided practical demonstrations of Hydrogen Technology, Virtual Reality Experiences, and a fun quiz at the end.

Some of the comments from our participants were “Such an interesting and informative session by David Cavanagh. Thanks for sharing your wisdom on hydrogen with us” and “David Cavanagh provided a range of information that was interesting and relevant. So glad I attended”.

The day was coincidentally booked near Hydrogen Day. Established in Australia in 2019, the date 8th October 2022, is in reference to the atomic weight of Hydrogen (10.08) in the American date format.

Australia, with its abundance of sunshine and wind, can harness it to create hydrogen rich fuels that are clean and efficient. Hydrogen that is locally produced using green energy technology will transform Australia’s current carbon intense resource sector.

Hydrogen will play a fundamental role in the reduction, or total elimination of damaging vehicle emissions in cities and in rural areas as they will power the numerous trucks that constantly travel vast distances across Australia.

The Resources Industry Training Council have two other sessions booked:
