The Resources Industry Training Council (RITC) is a collaborative body which engages industry, union, Government, and training stakeholders to resolve skills and training issues in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Drilling, Polymers, Chemical, and Laboratory industries.
Our mission is to consult and collaborate with stakeholders to inform, develop, and sustain an agile workforce in the resources sector, and all industries in our coverage.
To achieve this the RITC seeks to engage stakeholders at every opportunity and inform both policy and education and training outcomes for a competent, diverse, and future-facing workforce.
The RITC is a joint venture between the Chamber of Minerals and Energy Western Australia (CMEWA) and the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA).
The RITC operates under the guidance of an advisory board, with seats held by members of RITC industries, Union officials, and State Government representatives.
The RITC is one of eight training councils in operation in Western Australia and is funded by the Western Australian State Government through the Department of Training and Workforce Development.
